The unspoken rules of Mexican Lettering
In 2003 I started collecting samples of hand-made lettering on the streets of Mexico, for a lecture on Typography at Rhode Island School
of Design. Since then I have lectured several times on the subject, developing a small research that has evolved into a booklet.
The samples shown here are just a small selection from the booklet
in progress, consisting of a few collages on spreads with the intention
of highlighting certain properties of the letterforms.
