Booklet spread showing different compositions designed to the Sultan: water, ink, pieces of paper, rubberbands, paper clips, sponges and all sorts of tools were used to produce expressive shapes on paper.

In calligraphy the goal will be to controll these shapes in a similar way as in writting. Some results might seem accidental, but in fact they are the result of a number of sketches and tests.
