Popular Mexican Festivals, book series

All over Mexican territory, either in rural or indigenous communities, different traditional festivals—often with a religious orientation—are celebrated every year.

Illustrator and writer Claudia de Teresa recreated some of these parties in a series of books, through telling the stories of children and their families while they prepare for the festivities and participate in different rituals. Clothing, food, ornaments, music, practices and beliefs get described through colorful illustrations.
