University of Guadalajara Press, new visual identity and layout guide

The University of Guadalajara Press went through a deep transformation process throughout 2002-2004. As part of their new identity, a new logotype and numerous applications were designed.

The squared symbol stands for a window, while the typography,
set in a somewhat unorthodox fashion, represents the publishers
wide criteria and flexible mentality, added to the stability of
a functional institution.

The design process of this new image, that should be displayed
on different book collections, demanded for a large guide that would
allow different designers to build publications with visual unity.
